Stay tuned.<\/h3>\n<p>FIDO accredits independent labs to perform biometric evaluations as part of FIDO Alliance\u2019s Biometric Component Certification Program. This page contains a list of the accredited laboratories and further information about the accreditation process.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Accredited Biometric Laboratory List<\/h3>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/c0ezh785.caspio.com\/dp\/F8DF30000dac0896b0fb46a5a6d2\/emb\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>FIDO Alliance is accepting applications for Accreditation (see process below); newly accredited laboratories will be added once they are issued an accreditation certificate.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Laboratory Accreditation Process<\/h3>\n<p>The full accreditation process and requirements for laboratories is defined in the Biometric Laboratory Accreditation Policy.<\/p>\n<p>The following list provides a high level overview over the accreditation procedure.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>As a first step, the candidate lab shall review the <a href=\"https:\/\/fidoalliance.org\/specs\/biometric\/labaccreditationpolicy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FIDO Security Biometric Accreditation Policy<\/a> and ensure to meet the minimum third-party accreditation requirements (below).<\/li>\n<li>Then, the candidate laboratory may complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/fidoalliance.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/BiometricAccreditationApplication_20180525.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FIDO Accreditation Application Form<\/a> and <a href=\"\/?page_id=7167\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">submit it to FIDO<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Alliance&#8217;s biometric secretariat.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>If the application is approved, an on-boarding call with the biometric certification secretariat will be scheduled<\/li>\n<li>The next step is the core of the accreditation process. FIDO Alliance\u2019s biometric certification secretariat will review the application form submitted by the candidate laboratory and work together with the representative of the laboratory to make sure that the laboratory fulfills all technical and legal requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Eventually, a dedicated training is scheduled with the laboratory. All dedicated biometric testers shall attend the training and have to pass an exam.<\/li>\n<li>The last step of the accreditation process concerns the organizational aspects to set up the laboratory with FIDO Alliance. The laboratory has to pay their accreditation fees and <a href=\"\/?page_id=7161\"> create a FIDO account for approved evaluators.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The following sections provide more information about the requirements that a biometric laboratory has to meet.<\/p>\n<h3>Biometric Laboratory Accreditation Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>FIDO Alliance\u2019s criteria for biometric laboratories has been developed in a way that facilitates the re-use of pre-existing accreditations.<\/p>\n<p>The requirements for biometric laboratories can be split into: a) general requirements for laboratories (based on ISO\/IEC 17025); and, b) requirements on the technical competence of the laboratory.<\/p>\n<h4>General requirements<\/h4>\n<p>As a baseline, compliance to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iso.org\/standard\/66912.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ISO\/IEC 17025<\/a> is a prerequisite for all laboratories and can be shown through a third-party accreditation.
